About Our Paper

We like to think of our scrapbook paper as "gourmet." Merriam-Webster defines a gourmet as "a connoisseur of food and drink." Think of yourself as a connoisseur of fine paper. Our California-themed papers are printed in midtown Sacramento at a place called IPS Printing. We use 80-pound Classic Linen Bright Text paper specially ordered for us. The inks and paper are archival quality. The paper & printing press run with waterless ink, so our paper is easier on the environment.

About Us

Scrapbooking California is a mom and pop and daughter company based in Elk Grove, California. Our daughter, Teresa, does the artwork. Mom does the photography, writing, and maintains the business. Dad helps with production, transportation, and logistics. We create unique greeting cards and upscale scrapbook paper.

Our company emerged out of frustration. All California fourth-graders study the state’s 21 Roman Catholic missions, and the system’s leader, Fr. Junípero Serra. Most children attempt to build a replica of an 18th century mission. Our daughter wanted to do a large-scale scrapbook display, but we found it impossible to find scrapbooking materials that focused on the missions. We decided, when we got through elementary school, we would start a company that provided California-focused scrapbooking products.

The greeting cards came naturally. We have been making our own Christmas cards for years, and our daughter picked up the habit. She created her own line of Christmas cards in elementary school, which she sold to friends and family. Teresa earned enough money to pay her own way on overnight school field trips each year. Those cards are available here as well as several new ones. Many of Teresa’s greeting cards sold on this site were created from her old spelling and reading assignments submitted in elementary school.
